This Armagnac is making on AOC Bas Armagnac terroirs, characterized by sandy soils and boulbènes. It’s an extraordinary and ancestral terroir, because fossils date from more 30 millions of years are found in rows.
Varieties used are Baco, mainly, for it power aromas, and Ugni blanc for volumn and finesse.
The tasting of our Armagnac ennoble all your senses. Look at it subtle color. Reheat it in your hand to liberate aromas of vanilla, grilled hazelnut. They are sweet in taste and present an exceptional length, model after ripening in our cellar.
How make Armagnac ?
Armagnac is an elixir of patience and perfection. The wine is distilled all along winter in a traditional Armagnacais still. We obtain so a white eau-de-vie witch is matured in barrels during many years. Sometimes during thirty years. It begins then a noble produce, unrepeatable, result of alchemy of alcohol, wood and time.
The last stage is happened: Jean Jegerlhener blends many vintages, with different ages and origins or selects one particular vintage.
Advise of the sommelier: it’s at the end of meal, with a dessert or a cigar, that you should savour our old Armagnacs.
You can savour too a young Armagnac with foie gras, salmon or to prepare cocktails (mandarin orange, lemon…).
